So, how much time has BushCo bought itself?
Bush's sagging, sinking, pathetic poll numbers dominated yesterday's news cycle, and today, they've been blown away by Hurricane Airstrike.

How much time in the news cycle have they bought themselves with this latest airstrike, and with Bush reaffirming The Bush Doctrine of preemptive attack vis-a-vis Iran?

Any guesses...? Seems like every major poll came out in the past few days, and it should be another week before we get a new one.

3. Chris Matthews was hilarious last night.
In reading the NBC poll numbers, he astounded himself, talking to his pundit panel.

"You know, I always thought everyone liked the guy personally, just not his policies. I guess I was wrong! I WAS WRONG! Nobody likes this guy at all!! Is this what you guys are hearing in the circles you walk, because I had no idea..."

I thought he was going to cry... he was a little hysterical and inappropriate.

10. Too bad you missed Pat Buchanan's prediction that Bush will attack...
... Iran in October of this year, to reassure Republican control of Congress.

Tweety was taken aback. "Don't you think people will think he's whacko?"

Buchanan said something to the effect of, "He won't care, as long as he retains control of Congress."

:spray:

11. Well....Well......you know why he was hysterical....
....with the * cabal coming closer to the end of their tyranical rain...it can't come soon enough....

so does the enabler Tweety's career....because the media is going to be under a microscope and the questions will arise about how complicit the media was in this debacle of an administration.....

So long, farewell, avitazane adiu.....Bye Bye....

4. BushCo
Well it's not going according to plan, and that's obvious. I would assume Bu$h expected to be in the high 60's at this point of his second term, but his total mishandling of Iraq, Katrina, the economy and all the rest of his screw ups have left him sucking hind tit.

Iran will soon start selling oil using the Euro, causing the fiat of the US greenback. Now this stuff is way above my pay grade, but it seems to me if Iran starts the Euro oil bourse and the US dollar drops then Bu$h will be in the news 100% of the time.

I'm going to take a wait and see attitude, because Iran will change to Euros @ the 20th of March. That's just a couple of weeks from now, so all the cable news networks better order in pizza.

9. So, another "Danger Ahead" sign for BushCo.
That's interesting, and something I hadn't yet considered.

Conditions in Iraq can't, realistically, improve enough to get Bush's numbers up. Neither can conditions in Iran.

We've also got Scooter Libby still under indictment, the Enron outcome, the continued chattering of a bitter Jack Abramhoff...

It makes me nervous to think what they'll pull next to get America back on the side of their wicked agenda.

13. Launch of Iranian oil trading hits wall
Oil exchange unlikely to begin till at least midyear

Despite repeated reports over the past 18 months or so that the planned bourse would finally open for business on March 20, 2006 -- and go head to head with the New York Mercantile Exchange and the ICE Futures Exchange in London -- the start date has been postponed by at least several months and maybe more than a year.

"In the middle of 2006, we are able to start the bourse," Mohammad Asemipur, special adviser on the project to Iran's Oil Minister, said when reached in Tehran. The plan is to trade petrochemical products first, with a crude oil contract coming last, a rollout that likely will take three years, he said.

"Oh, crikey, it's at a much earlier stage than people would think," said British consultant Chris Cook, who claims credit for coming up with the idea for the exchange in the first place and is a member of the consortium headed by the Tehran Stock Exchange that is charged with bringing the project to life.

"You can rest assured, there will not be a crude oil contract, Gulf-based, in my opinion, within a year -- and that would be really pushing it," Mr. Cook, a former director of ICE's predecessor, the International Petroleum Exchange, said when reached in Scotland.

6. Don't think today's airstrike will make a difference -
sure it's news today, but what will it accompish? Not much IMHO; will exacerbate the problems in Iraq and not help the fact that people are increasingly seeing Bush as incompetent.

7. But I've heard nary a word about Bush's staggering unpopularity...
... and nary a word of objection from one of the so-called giddy, breathless journalists hogging my television this morning.

Airstrikes: The new "Raise The Terror Threat Level to Avoid Bad Political News."
