You know, there is one thing Bush has done that I'm grateful for.

The National Do Not Call list. I love it. I think it was a great achievement on his part, and I have to say thank you to him. I have to admit, I put myself on it and have yet to receive a single telemarketing call. He did an excellent job with it.

But how pathetic is it that the only success of a president is stopping unwanted phnone calls? He has destroyed the infrastructure of 2 countries and is in the process of destroying a third. Namely, ours.

His tax cuts have taken our debt to new highs while No Child Left Behind has brought our level of learning to new lows.

He has started two wars and is on the verge of a third. His asinine policies have cost countless innocent Iraqis, Afghanis, and Americans their lives.

Gays and Lesbians cannot affirm their love in the eyes of the law, which has saved. . .I dunno, what has stopping gay marriage done to protect America?

He has ignored all science. Global Warming, Sex Education, Terry Schiavo, Evolution and ID, AIDS, Abortion, and even Drug Policy.

He represents us to countries he can't even find on a map, or even pronounce their names. He routinely puts his foot, then ankle, then knee, in his mouth. He can't get through a speech without winding up with his entire leg jammed through his jaw.

He surrendered an entire city to water. WATER! How the hell can a president lose an entire city to WATER?! Then, he congratulated Brown on his failure while his mother imitated his gift for making an ass of himself.

How sad is it that the only positive thing this president can say he's done is stopped sales people from calling you?

and I will tell you that the phone companies won't hesitate to hand over phone numbers to the government, cause they didn't with us.

7. I did that when I was in Florida

Here in NM, I hide behind an unlisted, unpublished phone number and that takes care of 90% of the pests. The few that do get through are the computerized jobs that go through all the numbers in the area code and play a canned message. Their computer talks to my computer, in other words.

I don't think Stupid had anything to do with that list, though. I think it was popular in Congress because of all the nuisance calls coming through to family members on listed lines.

It wasn't unusual to get twenty calls an evening in Florida. My dad never put himself on the list.

6. Well, you've had business relations with them in the past

18 months (because you said 'another credit card'), then they can still call you.

Also, it is updated only at certain times of the year.

I don't remember ever having a citibank card. Yet, at least once a week, they are on my caller ID. They always call when I am not home so it isn't an annoyance, but I do think it is odd.
