43% of Americans in favor of IMPEACHMENT (ARG Poll)
http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Poll_Americans_slightly_favor_plan_to_0316.html

That's only 3% less than the number (46%) who favor Censure. per this poll! Wow!

More surprising still: The poll found fully 43% of voters in favor of actually impeaching the President, with just 50% of voters opposed. While only 18% of Republicans surveyed wanted to see Bush impeached, 61% of Democrats and 47% of Independents reported they wanted to see the House move ahead with the Conyers (D-MI) resolution.

The poll, taken March 13-15, had a 3% margin of error.

5. In a moment of insanity

I hope he is not impeached. If bush stays in office to the end, the gop will be in permanent minority status, and the next President, a democrat with house and senate majorities will have a fair opportunity to undo the damage without gop preplanned hate working on a daily basis.

8. Yup. That's Insanity, All Right
Impeach NOW, before it's too late!
If Bush**ler seizes any more power,
Congress will not be able to remove him.

The more Bush** is allowed to assert unitary executive powers unchallenged,
the more likely it is that when the time comes that Congress tries to impeach him
he orders the members of Congress arrested, and the order is obeyed.

IMPEACH NOW!

Don't hold a republican accountable for anything we are in a time of war. Stay the course george.

This isn't really that bad news for bush because limbaugh says his numbers only "seem" low.

6. Only 27 percent wanted Clinton impeached
18 percent of Republicans??? That's a lot. I am willing to bet that close to zero Dems considered impeachment for Clinton. Apart from the fakes on C-Span and talk radio: "I'm a Democrat, Rush, but unless they impeach this pervert, I'm going to become a Republican."

7. Sorry...It's Background Noise
We can't even get a damn censure motion supported by more than a handful of Democratic Senators...and I would imagine the acceptance by the public of a censure would be far more popular than impeachement. Hopefully someone will poll on Sen. Feingold's resolution or on the censure question and we'll see how popular an idea that is. But of course, the rest of the Democrats will still hem and haw...afraid to do anything that draws attention to them. What a sad state of affairs and one that has to be addressed, but with so many things on our plates, I fear the netroots will stretch itself too thin in the year ahead. I hope I'm wrong.

The ballgame here is to be played on 435 separate congressional districts and 34 states...each with different issues that can be used to wedge against the incumbent Repugnicans. While the lies of this regime need to be held accountable, right now the main focus has to be on eliminating one-party rule and the rubber stamp corruption of each Repugnican. This has to be done on a candidate by candidate basis...then tie it into how this screws people with their health care and education...things they feel. Those are what Democrats need to focus on if they want to retake the House and Senate in November.

booooosh's unpopularity isn't going away and his misadministration will continue to pile up damage that will show an even greater number of people wanting this regime held accountable in the future than they do today. Look at how far we've come in the past year...(mostly thanks to fukstick's screw-ups)...just talking bad about this regime was akin to being a traitor...now at least we have a little bit of breathing room. Let the Democrats take control of the House and Senate and watch the dynamic really change.

Cheers...
