But its still the commercial interests running the show, dictating where the military should be sent. If it weren't for oil, would we really have much interest in the ME? Dictators are brutalizing their people all over the place. Heck, we even set some of them up.

'We The People' have become subjects to the Corporate Government Store, which is a national version of the Company Store. Corporate America has merged with the United States Government, and 'We The People' no longer have a controlling interest in the government. Over the last few decades, the New Deal has been slowly rewritten to be used against and enslave working Americans and the majority of the country. Unless you were born into a wealthy family or have defied the odds to become wealthy, you will never be "free" again, because you are owned by the Corporate Government Store.
