All the choices were great, but "inclusion of color" sums it up for me.

Funny thing is, I've been on the net a long time and I don't think I've ever seen a board as basic and devoid of design, even going back to 1993 or so. There's about a thousand free message board packages out there for download, and they all have way more functionality and a better look and feel by default. Even most mailing list archives look better than freeperville.

I was once sent a link to a freeper site where they all had their panties in a bunch because a few DUers were joking around about certain politicians' man-parts, and were using funny colloquialisms like "WMD", "PACKAGE" etc. You know, good clean fun.

The freepers were actually angry, nay, LIVID that we were not saying "PENIS."

They kept typing, in all caps and poorly punctuated of course, "WHY CANT THEY JUST SAY PENIS!??!!??!!!?11//

They were also quite upset over the oft-repeated fact that Kerry's is known in all circles to be legendarily "HUGH!1!!!!111"
