2. When are they gonna have a Constitution-Shredding Ammendment?
Wouldn't that one have a little more meaning? I think that's one we can all agree on, isn't it?

Except BushCo, that is.

10. now that would be a good scenario for Counterstrike
I can see strafing that entire group

Sigh, I don't play anymore, so have no idea...does anyone play CS anymore? I got out of it when it became such a haven for cheaters with headshot cheats.

6. Veteran Perspective
As a veteran when I see the flag burn it disturbs me. Certain symbols have their significance engraved in my spirit I guess. The flag for me has always represented the ideal America though, its above agendas, politics, and presidents. On the other hand a lot of people don't agree and see it as a symbol of oppression. If we believe it to be a symbol of freedom though, to pass a law restricting its use, even if its use if to be burnt in a demonstration, seems to be contradictory to the spirit of liberty.

11. I agree, just as a burning cross bothers me
but if you aren't trespassing in my yard or otherwise harassing me, it's protected speech.

13. My Two cents:
"How does one show homage to a symbol by violating the principles it stands for?"

7. Seems to me to be the opposite.
This is a good example of why it should remain legal.

8. Is he actually a terrorist, though?
I have no idea where this originated from, but tell you what...were I living in Iraq, and an airstrike killed my entire (non-insurgent) family, I'd burn that damn flag too.

9. Yeah I remember that
it was a freeper favorite for a long time. I remember when the pictures were first shown in yahoo news photos, and I showed my boss. It was before I knew he was such a puketard. He thought it was hilarious. It was in the first few days after 9-11, so I have to say it didn't bother me then as much as it bothers me now. The world seemed out of synch for a while there. Still does.
