On ABC as part of the morning "news" there was a segment about a new motorola phone. One that could pay your bills with a credit card simply by waving it at the registter.
Literally the words were.

"These are becoming the center of your universe".

Well, there is this thing called Revelations in a book called the Bible.
"No man shall buy, or sell save that he have the mark of the beast, or the number of his name.

The irony just immediately jumped out at me. This "religous" icon of America, a guy who,"dedicated his life to God", just has to live long enough to be forced to have the beast chip.

No rapture for you Pat.

Let's all accellerate the path to Armageddon, shall we?

So, besides the little deal about the freaking "s" misplaced at the end of the name of the book, which is a common mistake many, many learned people make, btw, what's your beef?

Because the mark would be on the forehead or back of the hand? And it's noted as a mark and not a computer chip?

6. Well, there's the little matter of the name of the book

of the Bible. It's Revelation, not Revelations. It makes me nuts when people get that wrong. It's a single fever-dream of an old man left in solitude too long.

This government has spent millions and millions of dollars in creating standards, methods and specifications for RFID identification tags and schemes in the interest of homeboy security. Biometrics are part of this. The aim is to eventually create a national ID card, a standard drivers license which will become an internal passport.
Digital Angel has developed implantable chips for the purpose of identification and many see this as the Satanic Mark of the beast in the Book of Revelation. The repugs and their pursuit of security then is directly in contrast to the right wing religious conservatives who support them.
