1. Looks like I woke up this morning and am back in the 60's.
But no JFK, no hippies, but I see the war in Vietnam (now spelled Iraq) is still on.

2. Some of my friends and I will bring the "hippie" aspect...
However, the more it changes, the more the song remains the same.

Someone here yesterday started a thread which asked "when" are we officially a theocracy? ...exactly.

3. Missouri - where they love the smell of fascism in the morning.
The state motto: "If you're promiscuous, the terrorists win!"

4. So add Kansas to the boycott list with South Dakota

"If you hand out contraception to single women, we're saying promiscuity is OK as a state, and I am not in support of that," Phillips, R-Kansas City, said in an interview.

Kansas has always been a backward state. Apparently Kansans can't speak English -- I remember a program on PBS where sub-titles were provided for speakers of Kansan.

My mother, and her parents were born in Kansas. I've spent many summers in Kansas. My mother speaks Kansan -- which bars her from speaking real English. <sarcasm alert>

8. Duh -- I knew that. I drove through Kansas City, Missouri last fall
It's just that I expect Kansas to follow the rest of the idiots.

All my liberal Kansas relatives have given up and Kansas and left -- some settling in California.

And a whole lot of liberal Missourians are leaving -- I keep finding liberal Missourians living overseas.

7. Not yet - it's the Missouri legislature
But it wouldn't surprise me to see similar actions taken by the Kansas legislature.

9. What in the name of GOD is the matter with Missouri?
I mean, what about Laura Ingalls Wilder and that whole "I can do it" or "Show Me" ethic?

Show me how depriving women of birth control leads to quality of life, let alone Godliness?

I am just FLUMMOXED.

10. I really hate these people.
Edited on Fri Mar-17-06 06:44 PM by DanCa
I am sorry I just do. I just can't stand anyone who puts an embryo's well being over a living breathing human being. God these "pro-lifers" make me sick to my stomach.
