Poll (Rasmussen Even) Feingold Pre-Censure 22%, Post -Censure 52% (Dems)
Poll Finds Most Oppose Bush Censure

A Rasmussen Reports survey finds that 38% of Americans believe President Bush should be censured for approving the domestic wiretapping program, but that 45% are opposed to the proposal advocated by Sen. Russell Feingold (R-WI).

However, the poll may have boosted Feingold as he contemplates a 2008 presidential bid. "Initially, 22% of Democrats had a favorable opinion of him while 16% had an unfavorable opinion. However, knowing he advocates censure, Feingold's numbers within his own party jumped to 52% favorable and 14% unfavorable."

A similar poll yesterday found a slight majority in favor of censure. Scott Shields compares the two.

1. The question should read
"Domestic wiretapping without a court order of United States citizens is against the law and is a felony punishable by jail time and/or a fine. If President Bush authorized domestic wiretapping of United States citizens without a legal court order thereby committing multiple felonies, should he be censored by the US Senate?"

11. Feingold has outmaneuvered the other chicken Dems. He
sensed that the time had come to call Bush out. The others were still waiting around to try to win by default. They are backing him because he has shown the he alone amount hopefuls was stake out his territory. Yet, I still feel that a Gore/ Feingold ticket would be the most likely winner.

Of course, unless and until the voting scams are curtailed, all bets are off.

13. Somehow, the people in Latin America gained enough control
to legitimize their election and they've been kicking out the fascists ever since. We could do that.

2004 U.S. elections were not audi table. They were far below any reasonable international standards. Carter never lies.
