"Your Right to Drive" ad campaign, anyone see this trash?
Or is it just in Denver newspapers? They have a background picture of the flag and the statue of liberty with a nostalgic paragraph about the wonderful life you can have when you drive. It's put out by car dealers.

Wonder why they don't mention that your right to drive means someone in Iraq or Iran must die?

1. Did I miss some big news story?
I haven't seen that ad campaign.

I want to know why driving = "someone in Iraq or Iran must die."

2. Because then people would ask what they're talking about.
And the sheeple would have to think!

3. No. And I'm glad I didn't. Pointless jingoism annoys me.

4. I don't understand your post
I dislike Bush and dishonest big oil execs as much as anyone, but we get most of our oil from non-middle eastern sources - only about 30% comes from there.

I also believe we need to find another way to power our vehicles - but I do have a right to drive - and most of us use it every day to get to work.

Have you ever lived in a country where driving was not so fee? It sucks. I have and you would not believe how much harder it makes your life.

5. Yes I have.
I used to live in Italy without a car. It costs way to much to drive there between gas prices and tolls on all the highways. That why they have better public transportation there than we do. It is way better there for that reason. Why would you want to make all the oil companies richer. I would rather take the train.
By the way I live in Boston now and got rid of my car a few weeks ago and couldnt be happier. We have a great mass transit system here that not nearly enough people use. I have been much happier without my car. I havent had any issues getting anywhere without it. There is no reason other cities or towns can be that way

6. Well, according to your state govt, driving is a privilege, not a right.
And if you fail to obey traffic laws adequately you lose that privilege.

WALKING, I'm sure, is covered as one of your "rights".
