Laramie demos consider call for Bush impeachment

LARAMIE -- Democrats in Albany County will consider whether to adopt a platform that calls for the impeachment of President Bush.

The platform committee of the Albany County Democratic Party has voted unanimously in favor of presenting the impeachment resolution at the party's county convention on March 26.

Oliver Peters, a member of the platform committee, said the draft is meant to spur debate of what members consider some of the more important and alarming aspects of the Bush Administration's activities.

"At this time, in the state and in the country, we're the lowly opposition party, as it were," Peters said. "I think of that as a responsibility to maintain a balance and integrity."
