Anyone just feeling generally pissed off and vindicated and empowered?
I was sickened by all the "I'm just so fucking sad and depressed" threads I saw here just over a year back.

It's good to now see the USA step up against this bad leadership and it's Orwelian tactics. Makes me proud to be your neighbor.

How ironic is it that the fight for freedom begins with a fight against Bush?

1. My Grandma's maiden name was Harper & I am very tired
I am still mad at B* & hate his policies, but it seems he just gets away with the most outrageous things & never has to have any accountability.

5. accountability
There's one big answer right there. Almost every politician is fearful of any accountability. Very few don't have a skeleton closet! That includes a good number of Dems in the area! The "people" are screaming for accountability of those that they voted for without any. It's very late!

4. With Conservative Paul Craig Roberts now regularly using...
the phrase "Bush regime", I do indeed feel vindicated by my use of the phrase and my general feelings about this criminal regime.

7. What is?
Maybe we're talking about different things. I wasn't specific, my fault.

By "stepping up" I'm talking about the entire nation and the media that *attempts* to mirror it.

Bush and his sorry crew are no longer able to sell rhetoric and people are obviously pissed off.

The "let's get on with something else" you mention is happening now, and it will culminate in November and again in 2008.

I think America is fed up rightwing bullshit. We're getting a taste of it here in Canada now. Stephen Harper is using Bushs lines ("we won't cut and run" and "support our troops") without speaking truth to us. Makes it extra sweet to see America calling bullshit on Bush right now.
