Why can't we all just get along?

Why must we have all this dissension in this august body called the US Senate? Why must we fight? Why can't we all be friends? God knows we are superior to those rabble-rousers over there in the House. It's unbecoming to show our disagreements in public. We need to take more time to study whether the President broke the law. We don't want to be hasty in our decisions.
