A. Heather Coyne: Senior Officer @US Institute of "PEACE?" C-SPAN
Mulling around this morning, making coffee, click on C-SPAN, and here's this propagandist engaged in the typical downplaying of the illegal, immoral invasion/occupation of Iraq ....she's a typified example of why "moderates" make me cringe, because even though they don't sound as ridiculous or bloodthirsty as a righty, they take the awful truth of the situation and attempt to assign a "reasonable" analysis with a "friendly" face - which is only seen through the eyes of empire's power.

Afterall, anyone associated with the US Institute of "Peace" naturally isn't going to espouse any view considered unacceptable by Establishment standards, especially for someone who has risen through the ranks to "senior" officer.

Anyhow, what really struck me about this segment was an almost complete lack of call-ins expressing any moral outrage or opposition. There were a few, but most seemed quite placated by here "sensible" slogan chanting.

1. Of course, there was no guest w/ an alternate viewpoint to debate Heather.

The very last caller (a man) made this point to Pedro, the host. The host then said CSPAN would have a "roundtable" discussion on Monday. The last caller said "CSPAN needs to have more...not just so many one-viewpoint guest segments." The last caller reiterated that nothing was learned by having only callers, most all of whom agreed with the guest, call in.

operative, Laili Helms (former Director CIA Richard McGarrah Helms niece), was there.

FWIW, Christina Rocca (Senator Brownback's "assistant") may have passed that way prior to her "assignment"/career move to SAAG (another front).

3. Organs of perception management are to be found just about
everywhere. The good news is that there is a growing awareness about this network of traitors.
