2. I have a particular hard time with this woman

She is obviously between a rock and a hard place because she is being strong-armed to vote with Republicans so she can get needed help in Lousiana.
But to forsake ANOTHER state in order to gain a pittance for her state is unforgivable.
I have my doubts that her intentions are the purest, because in all honesty, she is just attempting to protect her political assets--Louisiana isn't the end, it's the means in which to do so.
I honestly hope another real Democrat will challenge her seat so the greater good EVERYWHERE can be served.

Voting with the far right repeatedly IS NOT good for the party or for anyone else.

Furthermore, despite the supposed "conventional wisdom" you don't have evince far right lunacy to get elected in Louisiana- or in many other states. John Edwards got elected in North Carolina. Tom Harkin is from Iowa. Bob Kerry was a longtime Senator for Nebraska before he turned over his seat to a worthless DINO named Ben Nelson.

So called "Democrats" like that hurt the party's image and taint its candidates all over the country (including state and local races). Until they're held accountable, muzzled and/or unceremoniously run out of office, the Dems will never regain the majority- hell, they won't even regain any relevancy in national politics. As it is, they might as well pack their bags and go home. They've gotten ZERO results- and look only to helping themselves to a 7th straight congressional loss this fall, despite the Republican implosion.

she sides with Republicans more often than not and she was doing this long before Katrina was a small storm could. I guess it goes back to a Louisiana Democrat being far different than a New York Democrat, but enough is enough. She's not even trying to pretend she's a Democrat anymore. Oh yeah, she voted to censure Bill Clinton but will NOT support censure of george bush! Isn't THAT special! :eyes:
