In his last State of the Union Address Bill Clinton might have asked Congress to pass a bill DECREASING the limit on the national debt. By that I mean purposefully reducing the ceiling (the one that was just raised by the Republican Congress). If Clinton had done that, and he could have with the economy he had in hand, it would have set a wonderful precedent. Bush or any subsequent President would certainly be disgraced if they ever mismanaged to economy to the point where it need be raised again.
By the way, how all those Chinese guys gonna feel when their US dollars are worthless compared to Euros? What kind of interest rates are they going to demand to get back into greenbacks? Huh?
