V may have saved US from a disease outbreak (SPOILER)
Edited on Sun Mar-19-06 04:18 AM by upi402
The movie V portrayed many similarities to this fascist state's actions and lead-ups to their dirty deeds yet undone.
One part of the movie was about 3 sites that were contaminated.
The authoritarian government used the resultant fear to seize dictatorial control of England and blamed the government caused outbreak on terrorists.
Then one of the government insiders profited big time from the pharmaceutical cure.

They called BushCo on their bird flu/small pox/anthrax fear-mongering.
And if those shits dare profiteer off this the sociopaths will be held accountable.

They can't do it now.
I feel safer, and hopeful that thousands of Americans will not suffer due to this movie.

This movie was a revolution trigger and I will wait for the suppression. It would be so telling if they try to pull the plug on this now. The toothpaste is out of the tube.

1. You still have time to edit your post to warn about spoilers. . .
That is, if you're interested in whether others should enjoy the film or not, or just intent to get your viewpoint across.

6. Oh, I know there's more to it. . .
I saw the flick on Friday.

It is true, your one post only touches on a small fraction of the film, but combined with other posts it begins to create a cumulative impression of the entire film for those who haven't seen it.

From personal experience, I didn't see E.T. when it was released. My daughter had just been born and there were more important things to do than catch a flick. But everyone insisted on telling me about just one scene, so that by the time I did see the movie (some years later, when my daughter was old enough to enjoy it with me), I knew the entire story -- I just didn't know its order! Oh, yeah, here's the bit about ______. Yeah, here's where _________. I'll bet _______ happens next.

In a sense, it's quite hilarious, especially so as I watched that flick. But ever since, I've avoided giving away too much of a plot and any specific scenes for fear that years down the line I'll ruin someone's late night tv viewing. Even now, I went back and edited my comments about E.T. so in case you've never seen it you won't have to compare my version against the original.
