George Will just raised his arms and said Iraq War "is not working"
Edited on Sun Mar-19-06 09:37 AM by zulchzulu
On "This Week", the full panel sounds like what you might have heard on only the "leftist" media channels a couple years ago. The problem is they are doing it all laughingly and with gaffaws after they helped prop up the madness.

They helped make Iraqmire happen. Now they are willing to just read the tea leaves and act like they told ya so...

Perhaps C&L will have some footage later.

1. That whole bemused indifference to the tragedy they have wrought -
that's why it's almost impossible to watch these shows, especially Washington Week. It's just all so amusing and they are all so smug in their insideyness and their I know something you don't know smug complicity with the criminals when they are supposed to be the watchdogs. It's unbearable to watch.

4. Excellent turn of phrase: Bemused indifference to the tragedy they have
wrought...Worderful word picture; sums them up perfectly.

6. Yep...they seemed relieved and were really enjoying themselves
Ah...doesn't it feel better when you tell the truth, George...

I agree that these shows are pretty unbearable to watch...but I watch them to torture myself... :->

I am sorry but that makes me furious! 2314! Screw you,it isn't a joke! 17000 maimed-it is no laughing matter. I would laugh manically perhaps as I stomped a mud hole into Mr. Will's lily livered no serving combat avoiding pontificating bullshit talking ass!

7. Not enough George! You must say your were wrong and beg forgiveness.
All the media whores who helped sway the public to support the Bushbots must say they were wrong and that they are sorry for their part in the downfall of America. Nothing less will get them any respect from me. They all should be ashamed of themselves and not get much sleep at night.

13. True...PNAC, war profiteers and Iran are real winners in this war
Not a surprise...but that;s the bottom line. Three years later and what those who protested the war by th millions were in fact correct.

11. The way he basically did the "I give up" body language was obvious
Hopefully someone will have a clip soon...it was truly nauseating to see such an act after being a cheerleader for the war for the last three (or more) years.

What was equally as nauseating was seeing Sam Donaldson, Cokie Roberts and George Will chuckle it all off like it was a review of some B-movie that they had to sit through on Thursday afternoon.

12. Wish this were on the same level as Cronkite's criticism of Vietnam and
Johnson ruefully commenting that they just "lost the war" once they lost Uncle Walter.
