28. ?? The naked emperor is from Hans Christian Anderson's story...

..."The Emperor's New Clothes," wherein a vain and foolish emperor is taken in by con-artists posing as tailors. They promise to make him the most exquisite wardrobe ever crafted by human hands, and make a great show of cutting and stitching cloth no one can see. They tell the emporer that only really wise and honest people can see this fabric, so he pretends he can. At last they claim to be done, and "dress" him from the skin out -- he goes on a grand parade to show off his new clothes, which everyone (wanting to appear wise and honest) claims they can see. UNTIL a small boy, too young to be taken in by adult vanity and folly, shouts out: "Why does the emperor have no clothes on? Why is he naked?" At which point everyone within earshot realizes the truth.

In the cartoon, Feingold plays the part of the discerning boy.

I've been referring to Dubya as the Buck Naked Emperor since at least 2001, when I haven't been calling him ruder names.
