CHICAGO, Illinois (AP) -- The third anniversary of the U.S.-led war in Iraq drew tens of thousands of protesters -- shouting chants of "Stop the War" and calling for the withdrawal of troops -- in demonstrations across the globe.

More than 7,000 people marched through downtown Chicago in one of the nation's largest protests, saying the war diverts money from domestic needs and demanding the U.S. pull out of Iraq. One sign read, "Bush is a category 5 disaster."

"I'm against this war, I'm against the torture," said protester Martha Conrad, 54. "We're doing this for the people of Iraq."

or how many people are actually against the war. THAT is what brought a stop to Vietnam. That's why we don't see caskets coming home from Iraq. Out of sight, out of mind. It's called PROPAGANDA.

4. My friend just called me and her sister was at that protest in Chicago

and when her sister heard the number "7000", she had to laugh...her boyfriend said, "7000 protesters? haha...there were at least 7000 POLICE there!" From her account, the crowd was WELL OVER 7000. :thumbsup:

Of course the media would report fewer there than what the actual count was.:eyes:
