Wow. Brit Hume convinced me (Impeachment Sunday on FOX!)
Yes, watched Sunday FOX news-(disclaimer-it's my local channel so that's the only thing I can assemble as an excuse for watching-it's not the cable station) and enjoyed for the first time in YEARS watching any of these propaganda shills. So Brit Hume was the only one on the panel-holding out the "Feingold is wacky, insane, absurd, weird" for daring to question the war president. He was foaming at the mouth-almost beating down poor Juan Williams to a nothing as he DARED to tell him that huh, yes, Brit-the syping was illegal. Of course spin head master Hume said that was ABSURD.

They talked IMPEACHMENT. Oh yes, Williams actually said the words we've been saying for YEARS-well you know-the little disconnect between impeachment okay for sex lies, not okay for breaking laws and constitution lies.

And only Hume (he clearly sees the danger) thought it was dangerous for the Dems and a bonus to the Pubs to pursue censure, and even impeachment. Because guess what-Feingold changed the debate! And all agreed that you can't FIRE up the base JUST to stop the chimp from being impeached. The love, ladies and gentleman-the love is GONE.

Also-Wallace the younger was mighty SHOCKED, shocked I tell you that Durbin (interviewed earlier) would not rule out impeachment. And finally, it did my heart GOOD that these evil propaganda shills actually are aware of that little house body-that's pushing for impeachment inquiry. I guess Conyers isn't invisible afterall. Feingold changed the debate. That was my point. (and they showed a clip of Feingold also saying censure doesn't preclude impeachment)

Normally they just ignore us. What's changed? Is Shrub Jr. going down?

2. The Fox viewers will be very upset that impeachment was uttered
against their beloved GWB. I'll bet there will be a rise in lithium prescriptions. :P

5. Shrub Fell In To A Burnin' Ring Of Fire
....he went down, down, down and the flames keep risin' higher...

OMG I saw the most pathetic Bush propaganda EVER on Fox the other night -- this involved 2 radio jocks from TN who are "going national" one of whom was named Bubba and both of whom fit the name. I couldn't believe it, like they went to Central Casting and said "two dumbass redneck stereotypes, please!" They both said thank GOD that Bush is our President! The host asked, why are the polls dropping. The answer was "because he didn't EXPLAIN the ports deal right, because he's too exhausted from keeping us safe from terr'rists." Or soemthing of that nature.

... I heard some dingaling calling into the local RW gasbag show, starting off with, "they forget all the great things George Bush has done . . ." (quite a long pause) ". . . well, you know, like what he's done for edjication n all -- wal, he just ain't explained himself very good is all."
The host agreed: "yes, he needs to communicate better."

:nopity: :nopity:

8. I love this new talking point about everyone at the WH ...
... being SO exhausted. Well, I guess keeping track of all of the lies is hard work.

It's a little late in the game to use 'being tired' as an excuse for literally everything. We Dems have known that this prez has been asleep at the wheel since day one.

7. I sense a trap.
It seems forcing Dems to way in on impeachment instead of the issue at hand, censure, is a memo from Rove. They know that no matter how pissed the base is with the fuck-up-in-chief, the base won't stand for electing dems to congress if it means the schrub will be impeached like Clinton. Something smells fishy about Wallace talking points today that's for sure!

15. Oh, yeah, definitely a trap. Like we say in da nort woods, yah shure.
I guess you figure it makes us look bad to be even hinting around at impeachment, huh?

The difference between now and the Clinton fiasco is that nobody likes Bush anymore.

14. I think they'll try to use "impeachment" as a rallying cry
for the Repuke base to keep Congress....and they'll tell them that if they don't vote for the Pukes, the President and the nation will be taken over by treasonous Dems who are going to help the terrorists by voting for impeachment. Oh, I can see that line being used over and over and over again. . .because they sure as hell don't have anything else to run on, and they can't run on their sorry-ass record governing this country.

16. I gained a lot of respect for Durbin today.
Unlike our usual Dem suspects on TV, he actually stood up for Russ Feingold, didn't back down on impeachment talk, and called the Senate Intelligence Committee, a "partisan committee".

Straight talk.

23. GOP rallying around 'anti-impeachment" is a losing strategy.
Just like when Dems campaign on an Anybody But Bush strategy... a campaign based mainly on what you're against, is not as compelling as a campaign based on what you are for.

With the censure issue, the GOP has nothing positive it can run on, unless you are crazy enough to think that "Spying on Citizens" is a good campaign strategy.

This is a winning issue for Dems, if they will only play their cards right.
