We have individual polls- now how about an official daily one?

It just occured to me that as the DU becomes better known in the wider blogosphere, it's also gaining a great amount of respectability "out there". So perhaps it's time to feature a serious daily poll on the front page.

Granted, until word gets out it will be little more than a DU'd poll, but perhaps at some point those outside the membership will begin using it to express their opinions too.

Good idea or bad?

Techniques exist to make a vote honest- it's just that the others rarely use it.

Besides, once here a few might actually stick around and learn something.
