I keep finding lots of great stuff that I wouldn't have otherwise found.

1. I've been doing it too
for--like--the last 30 minutes.

Damn you Skinner, I should be cooking dinner right now.

Y'all have outdone yourselves with this new toy.

2. Yeah, that's great isn't it?
I'm discovering the writings of new and unfamiliar names. Quite a lot of literate, bright thinkers in here.

6. Schenectady, NY Bus Terminal? Growing up & living most of my life in &
around Schenectady I know that bus terminal rather well but was surprised and amused to see someone here bring it up. B-)

It's fun and amazing what you learn when you surf through folks Journals. It can add a bit of a personal touch that sometimes feels missing here with so many members. :)

12. To tell you the truth
I didn't even know Schenectady HAD a bus station. It just sounded good.

:D

14. Hee hee... it does... near Liberty Park, the community college & the YMCA
Edited on Sun Mar-19-06 08:21 PM by WePurrsevere
in the infamous Stockade area where snowmen once guarded the stockade and failed to keep the Native out. ;) It's a tiny hole in the wall place, in a not so great part of town where I dropped off and picked up many a friend... actually I'm not even sure it's still operative.

Not only was Schenectady a GE company town it was a BIG place on the Vaudville tours with the running gag of "How do you pronounce Schenectady?" "Why it's easy... just remember skin, neck, titty" "yucka yucka yucka" ;)

Sorry... I always was a history buff. :D Although I love where we are now (an hour or so South of Ottawa in NNY btw) many happy childhood and adult memories are from that area. :)

16. Never been to Schenectady
But if you're in NNY, we're pretty close to each other. I even listen to the AM stations in Ogdensburg and Rochester.

I'm originally from Toronto, so I'm much more familiar with the Buffalo and Niagara frontier area.

One day, I'll take a trip to the Ogdensburg/Watertown area, just to check it out.

17. We're about 15 min from the Canada to US/Ogdnensburg bridge.
We've only lived here for a year so I'm still learning and exploring the area. I'll say one thing for this area... for the most part it's very friendly. Ogdensburg is a cute city but not very much there except Walmarts, Lowes, markets and a couple of nice resturants. Watertown, very "military" btw with Fort Drum base there, has shops and a mall although not nearly as nice as the one we found in Ottawa when we got lost looking for the Petsmart. B-)

As for Schenectady... as I said it was just a bit funny and brought a smile to my face to hear someone from here mention it... even if they haven't actually been there. ;)

5. It's the best.
And I love how there is never a dead end. All the journals that come up have the "random journal" link so you can keep going and going. I've seen lots of stuff I wouldn't have found and checked out other peoples' journal I wouldn't have otherwise.
