Dumbass journal question
I notice people write in thier journals in the middle space between the smaller columns..

How do I do that?
I don't know how to do that. right now I got stuff written on the side.

All those things that people write are OP or posts / replies to OP's
you just need to click the "add to journal" button at the bottom of your post.

2. The stuff in the middle comes from your own posts.
When you look at one of your own posts, click "Add to my journal"

3. Pull up your previous posts from the top menu....
and at the bottom of each post, you can add it automatically to your own personal journal. :)

9. So, how do you get some of your "ancient" posts?
This, I realize, is one of the pure dumbass questions about how to use the journals.

7. I think you can use the Custom Modules for that but there's only 5 and
it doesn't say how much you can put into each one. I know I'd enjoy regular blogging/journal writing as well as adding in my occasional semi intelligent or witty DU post but I also don't like to look a gift horse in the mouth. B-)

6. If you look in the Journal Control Panel
There are a number of blank modules at the bottom of the list of options. The default is they are turned off.

I think if you turn them on, you can add text that you want that would only be posted to the journal.

8. I tried using one custom module
and, I don't see it showing up in my journal. So, not sure what they are there for as yet.
