AS PRESIDENT! (for those of nit-picking nature)

Men and women of principle have always made folks feel uncomfortable. And stand-up principled people have always been attacked; even by those in their own party. Yet these times call for these mavericks, and I'll consider THEM leaders as I shake my head in utter disgust at those 'careful' politicians.

Does it occur to anyone that Feingold didn't consult his fellow travelers because he new the depressing outcome of that futile path?

If you mean for President, the only one of that group I think has all that it takes to be President is Feingold, and he hasn't run yet. Not sure how the outcome would be if he did, but I would say it's far too early to say America wouldn't vote for him.

14. Course They Can. Though I Love Both Of Them, Especially Conyers,

I don't see either of them as someone I could see as president. I think Conyers is one of the most stand up congressman I've ever come across in politics, if not the most. I literally CANNOT wait for us to regain congress so that he could lead the judiciary committee in the way it is supposed to be led. I think he's an awesome Congressman and would make an amazing Senator. I just don't see him as someone who can be President, but I understand some have different opinions on that. But I want to be EXTREMELY clear that my position on his viability for President is in no way a criticism towards him, as I said I respect him more than I think any other member of congress.

So having that said, I think Feingold is the only one that has all around what is necessary to handle such a broad role as President, but since he hasn't had the shot yet, and it's too early to be even talking about 08 yet, I can't really criticize the American people for something that hasn't yet occurred.

9. I've pondered along those lines a lot.

It is a condemnation of our country that a man of such little character or intellect has been placed as the highest executive. I do not think it bodes well for the future. Someday, America will be a decent country, like a Sweden or a Canada. Hopefully in one piece, but maybe not. Maybe it really will have to split into Jesusland and Free America. As I get older, I am seriously considering getting the hell out of here. I do not want to be part of the New Roman Empire.
