2% of Iraqis polled believe Ahmed Chalabi to be honest.

International Dateline March 19 2006

Only 2% of a recent poll of Iraqis believe that Ahmed Chalabi is honest.

Ahmed Chalabi (leader of the Iraqi National Congress) is a man who the US based much of it's pre-war intelligence on before we went into Iraq.

Some folks just can't seem to be able to smell a skunk but apparently the Iraqis smell them a mile away.

1. Those are only the ones he's paid off
Which tells you if he's paid off 2%, that criminal has stolen far more than we'll ever know about.

2. They hate occupation and everyone tied to it
The truest Iraqi democrats who fought saddam died fighting or opposed the US invasion.

These people were hiding in other countries' mansions; they were not fighting for their people's liberation.

5. Did he really?
Some things are just so unbelievable. Did Blitzer mention the embezzlement conviction? Probably not.

9. Yes. It was discussed on Radio Nation with Laura Flanders tonight -
Each week she does the best and worst journalistic moments of the week. This week the pick of the group was Wolf interviewing Ahmed -- the entire panel (of 3?) was stunned.

Blitzer mentioned nothing that would be 'uncomfortable' for Ahmed.

6. sheesh
And the ironic thing is that bush has stolen far more than Chalabi ever hoped to steal yet 32 per cent of Americans think he's A-OK.

12. With the margin of error (+- 3%)
that could mean as much as -1%, equalling Bush's numbers among blacks. No wonder they get along so well. Common numbers.
