I just had a horrid thought about Bush, Sr.
What if he dies while Dumbya is still in office? Will we be subjected to a hideous White House funeral at our expense, with the Prez as a grieving family member?

24. I haven't gotten to the end of the book yet so I don't understand
how this happened, but have been reading how the public seemed to eat up North as a hero even though he broke the law. How'd that happen? Was the media complicit? At the time I wasn't paying much attention, but I remember thinking he was a crook.

29. They actually televised the hearings.
Edited on Mon Mar-20-06 01:01 AM by Cleita
He had this really pretty secretary, Fawn Hall, so everyone was agag about her. This is what I remember that she testified that when they got caught, the documents they couldn't shred she stuck in her panty hose and smuggled them out of the building before the feds could come in and confiscate the files.

It was some time ago and it was such a convoluted deal involving Nicaragua and smuggling drugs to fund buying weapons and involvement with Iran. He was also accused of using govt. money to put improvements on his private residence. Basically, he was a money launderer. If some drug dealer got caught doing the same he would be cooling his heels in Leavenworth to this day.

66. But he did leave the cat out of the bag - he talked about how Reagan
had a group that was suppose to come up with a list of incidents that would justify suspending the Constitution. The govt immediately jumped up to the judge in protest and told the judge North wasn't suppose to reference that at all. The judge called it quits for the day and everyone went into a private room to discuss if it could be talked about. Bet * has that list.

I was visiting in Riverside, Ca when Nixio's funereal was held. We heard the planes taking off at March AFB, to do a flyover at the ceremony.Watched all of the assorted criminals lined up to pay homage to that evil one.

8. I doubt it
He served only one term, raised taxes and started this mess with Sadaam. While Reagan's funeral was a marathon of 'O' how great he was' there was also consideral press about what really happened. It'd be more likely a private affair with much about the president's grieving.

Hey, let's not even think about it. No matter how much I dislike a person it's unseemly to wonder what'll happen if their dad dies.

Pollution controls then weren't what they are today and she must have been exposed to some pretty hefty petrochemicals living in Midland. It would be ironic if she was the sacrificial lamb for the Bush family fortunes.

57. These cancers don't strike everybody, but they do strike the susceptible
What happens is that in a given population, you might expect to see 3 cases and all of a sudden you see 6 or 7. In really bad situations, you might see a lot more. It's hard to say which particular cases were tied to exposure to local carcinogens, but it is possible to say that there are x number of extra cases that shouldn't have happened.
