The integrity bankruptcy of CBS News
Yes, the same that brought us Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather and everyone at "60 Minutes" let John Roberts leave and is going after Katie Couric?

In today's WSJ there is a story about how NBC "the Today" show is bracing itself to replacing Couric whose $16 million a year contract is up for renewal in May. Also, that CBS News has been after her to anchor its news program.

Yes, the same "perky" Couric who asked for a shot on Len's program so she could point to her perky boobs saying they were "real" (a role model for Katherine Harris?) and then got the maintenance people to cut the front of her desk to expose her perky legs?

I realize that the news programs have long morphed into "shows," and for a few brief shining moments last September actually made us to think about reporting the news. But I think that this will be the last nail in CBS News coffin.

Too bad. Shortly after Peter Jennings left his chair we switched from ABC to CBS since ABC was starting to look a lot like Pat Robertson religious program. And we found CBS to be no nonsense program with no agenda.

If Couric will be the face of CBS News then this will be good bye, was nice knowing you.

1. Some of Couric's schtick on Leno was a joke--that's excusable
What isn't excusable is her recent alignment with the reich. That being said, she's no different from all the rest. The media was lost a long time ago and Couric moving to CBS won't make a bit of a difference at this point.

2. This is depressing!
What news should we watch now? All of them are so biased with their Bushie-worship now that they're useless.
