Protesters place flag-draped coffins near Lieberman's Hartford office
Edited on Mon Mar-20-06 11:35 AM by Atman
(Edited for more compelling headline...)

In the Sunday edition, a decent amount of coverage re: a 600-person protest in New Haven. Today, large color photos of flag-draped coffins eventually placed in front of Joe Lieberbush's office, and the crowd of over 1,000 protesters in Hartford. Lots of ink, too, not just a casual mention.

Hartford Courant has been a very republican paper...either one of these articles would have surprised me, but two of the, two days in a row, above the fold (albeit on the CONNECTICUT section instead of the front page), is just a stunner. I think we need to stop some of the "When will America wake up!" bashing threads. Much of America is very awake, thus Bush's abysmal poll numbers, and the growing protests such as these. American is awake, it is the media who is just now being forced to open its eyes!

From the article, which I linked in next post: A red, white and blue Uncle Sam was there, on stilts, along with a giant peace dove fashioned from bed sheets and wooden planks. Organizers also created several coffins. At the end of the rally, they were carried across the street to Constitution Plaza - where Lieberman has an office - and arranged on the sidewalk.

6. It's obscene
that this man is more concerned with American kids killing pixelated bad guys in GTA than real living men women and children in Iraq
