More than 40 victims in 2 days of violence
SINAN SALAHEDDIN The Associated Press

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Suspected insurgents kept up their attacks today with roadside bombings that killed at least seven policemen, and authorities reported finding 10 more bullet-riddled bodies dumped in the capital, one of them a 13-year-old girl.

The violence took up where it left off yesterday when at least 35 people died.

The 10 dumped bodies, apparently executed, were the latest gruesome discoveries tied to the sectarian war being conducted by Shiite and Sunni Muslims as they settle scores in the chaos that grips the capital.

As many as 700 people have been killed in sectarian violence since the Feb. 22 bombing of a Shiite shrine in Samarra and the subsequent series of car bombings and mortar attacks in the Sadr City slum on March 12.

1. Didn't you hear?
"Mission Accomplished", what was it 2, 3 years ago?

God forgive me, I despise that useless POS excuse for a human being.

2. Yes isn't that the irony...
American troop deaths have declined sharply...(which is a good thing)

but on the same hand...Iraqi deaths have quadrupled....* thinks the Iraqi lives are expendable!! He is a sick sociopath!!

3. What do you suppose he is optimistic about?
The rising volume of violence? Maybe this is what he wants
