Bush saying 'look past the violence to see the progress', is like saying..
...'look past the bombing of the Baghdad coffee shop today, killing all those people, and see the new cappucino machine inside!!!

Now THAT'S progress!!

8. two guys were driving very fast down the road one day,
when the passenger catches a glimpse of a sign and says, "dude, we're going the wrong way!" and the driver says, "why can't you concentrate on something positive for a change...I mean, look how fast we're going!"

10. Well
It's only been 3 years now. Entering into the 4th year it would be nice if any prediction of the president was true. I mean it's hard to see progress when the progress bench marks he points out never seem to past. We've been talking about these Iraqi forces for how long now? The Iraqi constitution is going to be set when? The violence is going to ease when? The war will cost what? We will leave when? The weapons of mass destruction were where? He gives all these talks but can't state 1 clear focused objective and then wonders why Americans can't see progress.
