I'm sittin here watching the World Baseball Classic (which has been awesom by the way), and all I can think about are all these great Cuban players we haven't ever seen (except in tournaments such as this). Without the boycott alot of these guys would be in MLB...or better yet, Havana would have its own big league team....a damn shames!!!

1. Fidel Castro is one of the richest men in the world... |
|
...and most of his money is off the books.
Sorry, I can't with a clear conscience send money into a despot's back pocket.

and trying to portray Castro as a despot is a little over the top.
If it wasn't for the constant threat of U.S. meddling in Cuban politics that country would be much more open than it is now.

2. If we were anywhere close to consistent I might agree... |
|
Not if you list all the shit hole dictators and despots we have had relations with since the revolution, Castro doesn't make the top 10. All we are doing is hurting the Cuban people to no purpose...IMO.
