Iraqis think U.S. in their nation to stay
http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/1107AP_Iraq_Future_Bases.html

From the start, in 2003, the first Army engineers rolling into Balad took the long view, laying out a 10-year plan envisioning a move from tents to today's living quarters in air-conditioned trailers, to concrete-and-brick barracks by 2008.

They've inherited an Olympic-sized pool and a chandeliered cinema from the Iraqis. They can order their favorite Baskin-Robbins flavor at ice cream counters in five dining halls, and cut-rate Fords, Chevys or Harley-Davidsons, for delivery at home, at a PX-run "dealership." On one recent evening, not far from a big 24-hour gym, airmen hustled up and down two full-length, lighted outdoor basketball courts as F-16 fighters thundered home overhead.

4. Did we build in Vietnam? I would have to check but I think we did.
Hell we are still in Germany and it has been 60 years. These people let us stay as long as they need us to get some thing from us. When the people in this country see that the cost to keep people their is just to much it all will end like England and India. Heck the Spanish American war just got over in some parts of this world. Our bases to fight in Asia were closed to us and we had built them for a 100 years. Time we stopped all this and with our debt it may come soon.

3. Count up the number of countries the USA has occupied and then left
Germany - Still there

Italy - Still there

Japan - Still there

Korea - Still there

Vietnam - We left that one

Iraqis know this too.
