I used to work for a labor law firm (the dark side) and in Georgia, Vidalia onion farmers advocated for special "guest worker" laws - basically laws saying it was ok to hire illegal, undocumented immigrants in order to harvest their onions, which had to be harvested in a certain window of time or they'd rot in the fields.

Which is why I find it odd that people who vote Republican think the Republicans really give a shit about what they think about illegal immigration.
