Right-wing Spin on Chimpies Press Conference: The "Liberal"
Edited on Tue Mar-21-06 03:42 PM by maxrandb
Mean-spirited media are out of control.

No Feces! That's the spin I'm hearing from Limpballs and Insanity, what little I could stomach. Basically, the spin is, the "liberal" media, in their soft comfy chairs, sipping coffee and having their lunches, are picking on our "great and dear leader".

To them, the pResident is not a blithering idiot on the verge of a nervous breakdown, but he "did a magnificent" job today. The first few minutes of Hannity's show, he played a montage of reporters asking, what I would deem, tough but fair questions. He played no responses, no blithering, no verbal masturbation from the president...NO incoherent responses!! It was the questions and the "tone" of those questions that are the problem. One question held up for scorn was a question about whether Rumsfeld had failed and should resign. Never mind that the reporter cited one of the people that served under Rumsfeld who accused him of incompetence...just the asking of the question was inappropriate. But, I guess like with Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Kim Jung Il, and Saddam, "leaders should not be questioned".

Makes me wish I could go back and find some examples of President Clinton verbally sparring with the press during the height of the Lewinski issue. I'll bet there wasn't a tough question asked of the "Big Dog" :sarcasm:

Guess that recent study was "spot-on"...The Republicans really are a bunch of whining crybabies, and spoiled brats.

How dare we question "dear leader".

1. They like bu$h can't face the music
They are all in denial about the whole situation. The war in Iraq, The economy and every thing else screwed up by the regime.

3. Whaddya expect from these guys...
their job is to promote Shrub and trash us. No way are they ever going to sit back and say "Never mind. We were wrong all this time." Nope-- they stick to the party line to the bitter end.

It's finally getting to the point where most of the rest of the country is getting wise to their bullshit and just isn't listening any more, but they have the hole they dig for themselves and they're just not about to get out of it.

4. They've been trying this for months...remember "Hillary is angry?"
We're all just "angry."

The republicans idea of leadership is just to be happy and optimistic. If everybody would just stop asking questions and be optimistic, everything would be fine. Trust your leaders...don't worry...be happy.

I actually spent some time with some repubbies last weekend, fortunately in a relaxed party situation, and one of the women said this very thing. She was tired of all the negativity. People should just relax and stop being so pissed at everything, we have a war on. Republicans really are just sheep. OF COURSE it is easy not to be angry if you just ignore the fact that you're being lied to!

6. I think the right wing is right on this one
Why should I as a taxpayer and a veteran want the president of the united states (an elected official) to answer unfettered questions in a press conference? Why would I want him exposed as a drug addled fool with his hand on the nuclear launch pad? Conservatives are on to something here. We should just leave bush alone and let the chi(m)ps fall where they may. He was fairly elected. If the american people want him to destroy our military, our economy, our constitution, then so be it. He shouldn't even expose his jesus loving ass to evil liberal reporters.

7. You Know? You're Absolutely Right
Edited on Tue Mar-21-06 04:00 PM by maxrandb
Why should we question any authority. We could just blissfully go along to get along?

I assume that the Repukes will now stop questioning...

Teachers
Judges
Lawyers
IRS Investigators
ATF Agents
FBI Agents
Special Prosecutors (Hey, don't question what Fitzpatrick is doing...He was elected)
Senators
Congressman
Mayors
Governors

Hell, why not just turn everything over to those in authority and hold on "for the ride."

My Used Car Salesman is an authority on cars...I guess I shouldn't question him
My Mechanic is an authority on auto repairs...I guess I won't question that $4,000 oil change

It must be "blissful and peaceful" to be a Repuke. You never have to ask a question of anyone in charge. Must be Nirvanna.

8. Wow! I think I'd question a 4K oil change
but then again if I were a republican, I'd be happy to just go limpdicked along and shrugging it off to evil liberals, whistling as I drive out of the oil change bay. No wonder they are so happy.

9. Go back to bed, America!
It has all been explained to you now! Listen to the fat man on the radio and the smug, arrogant jackass on Fox News. They're right. No need to question your leaders. Go back to bed, America. Here's American Idol - watch that and shut up. Here's 500 channels of it. Watch that. You're in the land of freedom now.

Apologies to Bill Hicks for this one!

10. Out of control media means
the truth is acutally louder than the propaganda. They hate that. You need your propaganda to truth dictionary. Out of control is rather literal though-it means NOT CONTROLLED by the propaganda.

12. You're Right
Them calling the media "out of control" might actually mean that the "message is beyond their control". Wouldn't that be a B-E-A-UTIFUL thing!!
