**Update on missing Milwaukee children**

The boys are still missing, the local police are now expanding the search nationwide. I was all over Milwaukee today; every type of neighborhood, even the courthouse downtown. The city is plastered with flyers. It's all over the news. Here's a clip detailing just how intensive the search has been: http://www.todaystmj4.com/ (can't add direct link, it should be obvious).

It's good sometimes to remember there are people in the world who care about people who aren't white and middle class. :hi:

Feel free to repost this info anywhere you post...these seem like very sweet dear children and I know if the situation were reversed I'd love to think there were people all over the internets helping my cause. :)

I remember about 2 summers ago some boys were lost only to find them in the car trunk. Not event the police thought to check that. Too sad, I hope they are okay. Prayers.

I hope they find these kids. I remember how I used to drive around searching for AWOL kids on my caseload when I was a CPS worker... usually they ended up at a friend's house...

8. Fwiw, I just spoke to someone in MPD's Sensitive Crimes Dept...

He said the boys don't meet the criteria for an Amber Alert as there is no further information that an alert would contain. He said the purpose of the Amber Alert is to inform the public to be on the lookout for specific persons/places/etc that might have relevance to the case...as these 2 just simply vanished, there isn't anything else to tell. :(

My heart goes out to their mom, in all honesty. I am surprised (no sarcasm) that our MSM would even touch this story. And that is a sad commentary about the state of the media in this country.

13. What is wrong with this world

I live in Madison, <90 miles away, and haven't heard a thing about this. I even saw the news at 10 last night and had it on as I was getting ready this. Yet, if I go through the cable news channels between six and ten at night, I will most likely see them discussing a pretty, white girl who is missing.

Sad world we live in. Really sad.
