Just a question about gay marriage and polygamy.

How come, if gay marriage will lead to polygamy, then the only state known for polygamy happens to be Utah, the most conservative state in the country?

Any thoughts?

5. Polygamy is very firmly a Biblical model for marriage

After all, Abraham had two wives (Leah and Rachel) and fathered children by them and several other women who were "handmaids." King Solomon had hundreds of wives, not to mention his concubines (ie sex slaves.) What I don't understand is why religious states aren't mandating polygamy.
