Boo hoo! Katherine Harris says she "won't have anything left" now!

MIAMI (AP) -- Representative Katherine Harris says she "won't have anything left" after spending $10 million of her personal inheritance to fund her US Senate campaign. Harris plans to spend money she inherited after her father's death in January on her campaign. She talked about that decision on ABC News' "Nightline" program aired last night and said, "Seriously, I won't have anything left."

The money Harris plans to spend puts her, at least temporarily, on even footing with her opponent. Democratic Senator Bill Nelson began the year with $8 million in his campaign account compared to Harris' $1 million.

Nelson's spokesman says Harris' comments are misleading and adds that after she puts her own money in the campaign, public records put her remaining net worth at up to 39 (m) million dollars.

Seriously, who is her campaign PR person? Do they really believe the average person in Florida would want to vote for Katherine Harris because she spent 10 or 20 million dollars of an inheritance? What kind of strategy is this? Why even announce you're spending an entire inheritance on an election? Most people get ANNOYED when they hear someone is throwing away that much wealth for a campaign. They think, wow, all this person wants to do is get elected. Or they're just plain disgusted because they make a small fraction of that in a whole year. A great majority of people will not make 10 million dollars in their entire lifetime, yet this crazy lady would inherit the money her father left her WHEN HE DIED, and spend it all so she can go to Washington, DC... and smile.... and feel like she is important.

And her press people are letting her make it even worse constantly talking about it.

Can we hire these people to work all of the Republican campaigns nationwide?
