46. And that 18% "very favorable" -- I think that's Bush's REAL base.
I'm thinking that the 18% approval rating that CHENEY has is the true, hard-core base that will never, EVER, throw over their Republican lords -- those who truly see the Republican Party as a religion and dissenting from the party line as heresy.

Same percentage here for "very favorable" for BUSH (how deluded are THEY?).

That's the lower limit for him, I think. I'm hoping we'll see him break the record for lowest approval rating ever and get close to that number. Realistically, I'm thinking he could reach the low 20s before long, but IMO, 18% is the real base.

49. Cool! I didn't see that, electropop.
I'm pretty sure the downward spiral hasn't stopped yet. Now we'll just have to lay bets on how low it'll go before it does. I'm saying 22 -- how about you?

52. Round and round he goes, where he stops, nobody knows.
It's a race between the polls and impeachment. Whatever he's at on the day he leaves the White House, that'll be the low point. Personally, I think that'll be in August. 22 sounds reasonable to me.

Though lately they seem to be somewhat in line with other polls. IIRC, the Cheney number was from a "real" poll.

Edited on Wed Mar-22-06 07:50 PM by IanDB1
Why don't they ever ask about the anti-telemarketing law?

If they did, I would give Bush a "Somewhat favorable" rating on that!

Oh, the liberal media! Shame on them! No wonder they never bring that up!

43. I had two difficult moments
Bush vs. Johnson and Bush vs. Reagan.

I couldn't help but put Bush over johnson. I feel kind of dirty, but in all honesty, Veitnam was more disgusting than Iraq - At least Saddam actually did shoot at us once or twice, right? Making a judgement between those two is extremely hair-splitting, but hell, I'm a nice guy and ready to be a little forgiving.

I also felt dirty voting Reagan over Bush, but, well, to be honest, Reagan was at least able to think on his own.

Nixon, definately better than Bush. Nixon stole money. Bush subverts America's entire political process. That is not a hard choice to make

The consensus there seems to be "Didn't like him yesterday; Don't like him today; Ain't gonna like him tomorrow."

In fairness, though, they probably should have compared him -- head to head -- against some people he MIGHT beat: boosh vs. DUCK! Cheney; boosh vs. Charles Manson; boosh vs. Beelzebub, stuff like that.
