Elayne Boosler in for Stephanie Miller

I didn't know if I'd even bother to tune in this week with Steph on vacation, but I must say that not only is Elayne doing a fine job, she actually surpasses Stephanie in some respects. Fewer sound effects, less juvenile humor, more thoughtful opinions.

I don't know if Elayne has enough material to take on a permanent radio gig, but she has done a fine job this week. I'm giving her a thumbs up. :thumbsup:

She has a kindness about her.
I also like Stephanie too. They're very different but I can't say I prefer one over the other.

Obviously, I'm already a listener, and I will still listen when she comes back. Less humor and more substance was a nice change, though.

9. ugly personal encounter

I was doing laps in pool at 6am and she went out of her way to be hateful. Hopefully she was coming off a hangover or such.

they make a good team. That's Mario Solis-Marich. I've been waiting for a "hispanic/latino/spanish" talker. I can't take all the Stephanie sound effects so I don't listen that often but am enjoying Elayne and Mario.

8. I'm not that impressed

In time I've listen to her I really haven't heard much. She didn't ask interesting questions in the interviews. She strays way away from subject matter. She hasn't shown a lot of knowledge of the material. The show isn't nearly close to what it is with Steph and company. If she had a regular show I wouldn't listen.
