with a dead preppie on it for him to wear. Gads, I miss that young man.

20. just looked outside: no flags at half-mast
I work in downtown DC and from the street in front of my building I can see around ten flags on various buildings (some govt offices, some not). None at half-mast. What building or buildings did you see flags at half-mast? While not strictly "by the book" sometimes individuals will opt to fly the flag at half staff in memory of a private individual, family worker, colleague, etc.

21. And sometimes, the hardware slips a little
Since any other flag within sight should also be lowered if one is, I saw a whole lotta flags at half staff owing to failed haredware on the one that went up first that day. It happens
