15 House seats. 6 in the Senate. Of course even more is even better!

(edited to correct my numerical dyslexia...)

It still doesn't make any sense to me. :)

11. Nope.
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES:
435 seats - all to be contested in mid-terms
Republicans hold 231 seats; Democrats 201; one independent; two seats vacant
Democrats need to win net 15 seats to win control of House

SENATE:
100 seats - 33 to be contested in mid-terms
Republicans hold 55 seats; Democrats 44; one independent
Democrats need to win net six seats to win control of Senate

3. Accurate ones.
A fair election without fraud and the Dems will take both the House and the Senate.

7. My biggest worry is that so much damage has been done to the..
..Economy and workers plus the fact that the national Debt will be so crippling that
there won't be much the Dem's can do to save what little is left.

And THEN...in 2 years you'll hear the Repugs screaming "Well!..I thought the Democrats were good for the Economy"

AAGGGRR!

Taking both Houses decisively with great swing of the voting populace- as unhindered by vote fraud as possible and the vote fraud that does suppress the mandate exposed and fought viciously.

THEN the new majority must act decisively and impeach the obvious.. Impeach SCOTUS criminals if any, and appoint fair judges. Renounce in action bi-partisanship with the RW disaster or else the bursting GOP market bubble will become their fault. Get out of Iraq and all the dirty deals of the Bush dynasty. Prosecute, regulate, democratize and get rid of the cronies. There does not have to be any "Contract on America" bravado, just action in service to the nation and duty.

The thing most making any of the above difficult to imagine are the actions(inaction) of the party leadership itself and the mainstream candidates being pushed by the same. They want to scrabble to the top of the Titanic and cling there for dear life, hardly a plan for change. They almost want, without trying too hard, to enter a position of blame not reform, thinking having the responsibility is an end in itself. Which soft-pedaling will be completely screwed by the GOP unless the lies are exposed to the populace as in Britain where Tories are still so many dirty words.

To imagine a party so supine and complicit in its own degradation and demise to reverse the harm or any other decisive issue without being spun into scapegoats for any pain real or imaginary in the process is very difficult. It is going to be longer haul than 2006 and the issue may be far far from resolved even in 2008, even with a nominal sweep of the Congress and the WH.

The other hope is that having fallen from the apex of power the GOP monstrosity will collapse, implode and flounder despite the weakness of the Dems.
