WTF?!

If the news media is reporting on a horrible disaster, are they now required to find something positive about the situation, or be accused of not being "balanced"?

Bad news: a school got blown up.

Good news: it was freshly painted.

Twisted BFEE Orwellian bullcrap!:banghead:

1. I don't get it either - We go and blow the shit out of a country then
expect to find GOOD NEWS?
:wtf:

I have been using their own words when it comes to this bull shit talking point. "We are at WAR" Then I tell them to shut up.

There is never good news during a war.

2. Gee, I don't remember any of these cries for "GOOD NEWS" during
the Clinton administration!!! DUH!
The hypocrisy is piling up so high that it is beyond suffocating.

8. In 48 states
good news was occuring on 11 September 2001, no right wing caterwauling for putting those stories front and center.

3. The way I used to explain it when I worked for the MSM
And I was accused by a public official of not writing enough "positive stories," is why should I write about you doing the job you are getting paid to do? That's not news. News is when you get caught doing something you're not supposed to be doing.

11. "News" is things OUT of the ordinary,....or it would not BE news
9,437 airplanes take off and land safely on a given day is NOT news...it's the expected, and not worthy of writing about... BUT the ONE plane that crashes, IS news..

5. And why aren't those that report about all the poor little
missing white girls, and I'm assuming this might be construed as a negative story, being chastised as well? Only when it applies to the BFEE is it considered negative?

7. Last thing "conservatives" wanted before the war was good news about Iraq
They trashed Michael Moore for showing the little iraqi kids playing. I guess they just flip flopped.

I truly believe that "conservatives" in this country (as Jack Nicholson said) can't handle the truth. Law abiding tax paying homosexuals are living, breathing american citizens. There actually are citizens in this country that don't cotton to christianity. Teri Schivo was in a vegetative state. george bush is an idiot. All facts and all rejected by "conservatives."
