So, I pick up my daughter who is a Young Democrat at Mercer University in Georgia. She tells me about attending the "Jefferson-Jackson Dinner" Democratic Fundraiser (BTW, the Republican controlled state legislature didn't return the favor the Democrats did when they were in control, and scheduled, on purpose, a legislative session so that Dem lawmakers couldn't attend the function)---but anyway, my daughter is there when Max Cleland gets up to speak.

Cleland says something to the effect of, "I know you all think that I lost my limbs on the battlefield in Vietnam, but the truth of the matter is, once upon a time, I WENT DUCK-HUNTING WITH DICK CHENEY!"

The Dems always try to be respectable and honerable...they make the extra effort to include the Repugs in events when they don't have to.....Yet the Repugs publicize their crushing efforts to silence the Dems...

The Dems have to be more hard nosed not crass...willing to negoitate but not willing to capitulate to the Repugs, not one inch ...

When the Dems get back in power I don't want to see them playing nice...I want them to play by the rules...
