Or maybe they just don't think at all. Lou Dobbs announced that Bush is trying to award a no bid cargo screening contract to the Chinese. Its "an extra layer of security".

These people are either hopelessly stupid or just plain nuts. We are sunk.

That and of course the exchange-rate foolishness, probably it's like loan-shark interest to do business with China this way...
If the US ever played trade hardball with them it could really unsettle our economy with some big ripples, and of course the Bush WH doesn't want anything to wreck their illusion of an economy here that's good or growing.
