It's not enough to say "I told you so"....
Although we all may feel compelled to say so, little good it will do us. It may feel good momentarily to recognize that you were right and they were wrong, but it does little to change the situation we find ourselves in. We have to change the direction we are going. If we do not change in 2006, the insecurity in this nation will no longer be controllable, in my opinion. We have one last chance - and that is the election this November. I cannot comprehend what may happen if we, as a nation, do not change course.

1. I'm very worried
not that the majority of the country ISN'T coming around to our POV,what troubles me and what I believe will happen is the electronic vote tampering. We may all be sitting here in November again wondering WTF happened...then I told you so takes on a whole different meaning

2. I hope we can win back Congress in 2006.
If we don't, God help us. We are already in a terrible state of despair and disrepair. Will Diebold be a factor?

7. Diebold will be the only factor
If we don't manage to get rid of those d**n machines, we'll never again win another election that matters. They'll let Democrats be mayors of some crumbling big cities and have a few members in the House of Representatives, but forget about having an impact or making a difference.

4. We also have to say, CONSERVATIVE POLITICS DON'T *WORK*
Edited on Sat Mar-25-06 09:48 AM by FormerRushFan
We will win the battle but lose the war if we ALLOW the cornerstone (or is it keystone?) of their platform to exist.

We have to point out that their "philosophy" is FALSE. It's just as much of a lie as Stalist Communism. We have to clearly establish the FACT that their politics works no better than prohibition or slavery did.

We have to make "conservative" a DIRTY WORD. We have to make those who talk of being "conservative" as ashamed and ostracized as they were in 1964.

We have to show the lies and contradictions of their "philosophy". We have to remind them of their failure and hypocrisy every time the word is mentioned. We have to turn it into a mantra and make those people who call themselves "proud conservatives" today as ashamed to admit their former political affiliation it as it was for those who were "pro-slavery" after the civil war...

on edit: spelling

5. look what it took to get rid of hitler, of stalin, of regan!
To stop the system where serfs were sold along with the land (and made homeless if the landowner decided he convert to pasturage) the Russians Soviets ie working people, had to bloody revolution...to get rid of the shah of iran, the Iranians had to install a theocracy which was almost as bad; to get rid of the routine exploitation/oppression of their society, look what Mexico had to suffer! yet people think a cosmetically benign regime like the fascists who run the US are gonna be tossed out with a 'and stay out!' shouted at their forms sprawled in the snow? I don't theenk so.....
On dec 12th/00, it was already a matter of bloodshed; we've simply allowed the fascists time to organise their schemes by the 6 years they've been sneaking around- the US can get rid of the nazipoohs in a day, but only by acting like them! guys like limbah-humbug, tom delay, tony blankley, woof blitzer, brite hum, anus coulter, robert novak, tweets, bill orally, glen beck, bob schieffer, john gibson lou dobbs alan greenspan and bitch, katey couric, sam donaldson, tom brokawcaw, michael medved, santorum and soon ad nazism have to be confronted evertime they step out the door, cuz bushinc needs the whores like scum needs to float.....

8. The President is NOT above the law.
Even if Alberto Gonzalez says so.

Electronic vote tampering worries you?

How about more false flag terror "events" to keep the fear, hate and scape-goating accelerating along...

Fool me once...

Hey, man. The time is NOW.

Impeachment?

Sure.

Then the American people should ship Bush, his handlers, his co-horts, and his minions to The Hague for the fair trial and open hearing that they have so aggressively denied others.
