BlameEDITORIAL: DON'T SHOOT MESSENGER FOR PROBLEMS IN IRAQThe new push by the Bush administration

<<<>>>

The Bush team wishes the news was more positive. So do we all.
But rather than try to blame the media, Bush needs to do more of what he began doing this week: Acknowledge how difficult and dangerous the situation is in Iraq, and explain what our specific strategy is for overcoming this reality and

1. W didn't complain during shock and awe, or during mission accomplished

War is an ugly, dangerous business. The press is going to cover it. It is good business to cover the war.

4. They will endorse the republicans
same as always. I lived in Wichita until recently. There are a lot of liberals working at the Eagle, but management and orders from Knight-Ridder are typical republican.

Their endorsement of Bush in 2004 was actually very funny. They spelled out all his screwups, and then basically said 'but vote for him anyway, you know, because of the, uh, terrorist thing'. Clearly, they wanted to endorse Kerry, but were ordered to endorse Bush.
