A prescient Nov '04 endorsement against * in a conservative magazine.
This is from "The American Conservative" magazine. It really is a pretty good read. The writer throws neo-conservatism under the bus.

"George W. Bush has come to embody a politics that is antithetical to almost any kind of thoughtful conservatism. His international policies have been based on the hopelessly naïve belief that foreign peoples are eager to be liberated by American armies—a notion more grounded in Leon Trotsky’s concept of global revolution than any sort of conservative statecraft. His immigration policies—temporarily put on hold while he runs for re-election—are just as extreme. A re-elected President Bush would be committed to bringing in millions of low-wage immigrants to do jobs Americans “won’t do.” This election is all about George W. Bush, and those issues are enough to render him unworthy of any conservative support."

2. No kidding.
When a conservative is arguing that a 2nd * term would equal the death of traditional conservatism, *, being a conservative, must be pretty damned bad.

3. They did. In fact, the voting anomalies in Ohio, Florida, New Mexico,
where ever, are still being uncovered and reported. It wasn't the message about the corruption of the bush** admin that killed us. It was the fact that people didn't believe the election could and would be rigged.

5. I thought it was a well-done article.
Well thought out. I disagreed with some of his perspective on Kerry, but I still thought he was more fair than a lot of folks on the right about him.

This article covered it all, pretty much.

:hi:
