Blogger posts rare Monty Python clip (downloadable)
http://tsoya.blogspot.com/2006/03/unearthed-monty-python-footage-from.html

KERA-TV in Dallas was the first PBS station to broadcast Monty Python's Flying Circus, and it was the Pythons' first stop in the US after the premier of Monty Python and the Holy Grail in Los Angeles in 1975. This interview footage first aired live on KERA that year, and hasn't been seen by the public since. It was discovered on an old reel that had been saved by an engineer, and as you can see, it cuts off after about 14 minutes... the engineer taped over the rest. It's a look at the group being candidly questioned by fans at the peak of their fame and creative powers.

3. We were watching The MPS on DVD last night
I was "shocked" at how much female nudity there was. Boobies and butt shots galore. A striptease down to undies, taking off the bra, letting it fall then covering her breasts with her arms. My shock stemmed mostly from the idea..."How the hell would they survive the FCC today?"

We have truly regressed.

2. I miss those times and greive for America
America is so processed and vacant now. I used to be embarassed for the 70's, but now see it as a liberating period of prosperity and dignity. Imagine paintings of nude women floating across the screen today. PBS is now a big info-mercial much of the time due to conservatives fighting its funding.

They wont be happy until we are all in debtors prison eating Wonder Bread and Cheez Whiz.

And I still break into the 'Lumber Jack' song when around old friends from time to time.

12. I had a taste of that last night on WPT
Wisconsin Public TV showed two hours of Flying Circus highlights from 10pm-midnight last night. The second hour was an entire animated hour with lots of bare brests between 11pm-midnight.

Last night WPT/PBS was at its best with Red Green followed by Monty Python.

It came up on the right when I opened the YouTube link to the Monty Python interview.

7. I used to play "The Argument" on the first day of school for my classes.
Then all year long I could diffuse any incident that happened by saying, "Are you here for an argument?"
