The 1600 Killers: A Wake-Up Call for Congress

Former Indiana congressman Andy Jacobs takes a critical look at U.S. wartime presidents in his new book, "The 1600 Killers." The author argues that since the Korean War several U.S. presidents have entered combat illegally since they were started without the consent of Congress. During his presentation, Mr. Jacobs reads several passages from his book and answers questions from the audience. This event was hosted by Big Hat Books in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Andy Jacobs, Jr. (D-IN) served fifteen terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, retiring in 1997. He is the author of "Slander and Sweet Judgment: The Memoir of an Indiana Congressman," and "The Powell Affair." Mr. Jacobs currently has a law pratice in Indianapolis and teaches courses on American politics and the US Congress at Indiana-Purdue University.
